The Gregory family have been involved with milk deliveries for 100 years since 1907 when Ruth Mary Gregory Delivered milk from Rock Farm to Miners in and aroundWheatley hill from being a child.

The main dwelling house was a 16th century manor house sometime in its history it became tenanted. The grandparents of the present owners became tenants in 1927 and moved onto the farm with 3 cows.

Ruth Mary Gregory travelled round the village two times a day with a hand cart and churn supplying the customers in gill and half pint measures. The milk was un-pasteurised and straight from the cow.

The farm then progressed to bottles with cardboard lids much beloved by youngsters who used them as spinners they were also handy for making pompoms. In 1947 the milk marketing board was set up to support local farmers.
